Woman resists arrest, injures police officer after DUI traffic stop

A woman was charged with injuring a police officer who was attempting to arrest her on DUI charges Saturday in Walker Township.

State police at Rockview said Tatia Blackwell was found to be intoxicated after a traffic stop around 3 a.m. Saturday on Route 64. Blackwell resisted arrest, resulting in an injury to an officer.

Police did not identify the officer or provide information about the extent of the injuries.

According to court documents, Blackwell was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault and several misdemeanor charges, including DUI. She was placed in Centre County Correctional Facility and remained there after failing to post $10,000 bail.
