ATHENS, Ga. A dozen Penn State swimmers hit NCAA provisional marks at the Georgia Fall Invitational over the weekend.
Gabi Shishkoff hit a pair of NCAA B standards in the 200-yard butterfly and the 1,650 freestyle, while in the 200 backstroke Allie Roberts, Katie Rowe, Jenna Bickel and Casey Fazio all surpassed the standard. Others swimming to provisional standards were Amy Modglin in the 200 backstroke, Merritt Krawczyk and Chelsea Weedman in the 200 bufferfly, Megan Siverling in the 1,650 free, Alyson Ackman and Paige Whitmire in the 100 freestyle and the 400 free relay team of Ackman, Whitmire, Carolyn Fittin and Kaitlin Jones in the 400 free relay.
Georgia won the seven-team event with 991 points while Penn State was fifth with 482 points.
The Nittany Lions have the rest of December off until returning to competition against North Carolina in Naples, Fla., on Jan. 5.
