It’s no wonder the “successful” hunter from Delaware County refused to give his name to the reporter for the newspaper article about the opening day of deer season. The Nov. 26 story told of how he’d shot a six-point buck at a salt lick.

Hunting over bait is illegal in Pennsylvania.

Hopefully the game commission can track him down through the butcher shop or through the friend who did give his name to the reporter.

Hunters like that give ethical hunters a bad name.

Unfortunately, the reporter and editors did not know enough about game law to omit the illegal harvest from the story.
