A hunter in Centre County died of an acute cardiac event during the two-week deer rifle hunting season that ended Saturday.
Centre County coroner Scott A. Sayers announced the death in a statement Sunday. The release provided no additional information about the hunter, or about when the incident occurred.
Sayers said there were no shooting deaths reported during the season.
In November, a hunter suffered a leg injury and had to be pulled from the woods by emergency responders near Howard borough.
