Penn State volleyball: Nittany Lions to face Oregon in NCAA semifinals

The Penn State women’s volleyball team will be Duck hunting on Thursday night.

The top-seeded Nittany Lions (33-2) will face No. 5 Oregon (29-4) at approximately 9 p.m. at Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center.

Penn State defeated Minnesota in four sets in Saturday’s regional final to make the national semifinals for the fifth time in six seasons.

The Ducks advanced with a four-set win over No. 4 Nebraska in their regional finals to make the national semifinals for the first time.

The first semifinal of the night will feature No. 3 Texas and unseeded Michigan. The Longhorns swept Southern California, and the Wolverines upset second-seeded Stanford in four sets in their regional finals to make the semifinal for the first time.

The finals will be played Saturday night.
