HAZLETON — State College beat Hazleton 76-51 to kickstart its girls basketball season and a daunting opening stretch that will see the Lady Little Lions play seven games in 11 days.
Kyla Irwin led State College with 19 points and also chipped in nine rebounds.
Jenna Altomare tallied 16 points and notched five assists for the Lady Little Lions.
Taylor Allison led State College with four 3-pointers and contributed 13 points.
"I think it was a good start for us," State College coach Bethany Irwin said. "A lot of kids got in and got some good minutes. I thought they played four hard quarters."
