WINGATE — The Bald Eagle Area girls basketball team used strong second and third quarters to defeat Huntingdon 43-39 on Wednesday.
A 14-point second quarter cut Huntingdons lead to 21-20 at halftime. The Lady Eagles took control by outscoring the Bearcats 16-6 in the third.
Alyssa Ward led the scoring effort for BEA with 23 points. Kaitlyn Miller pitched in eight points and Lexi Josefik added five in the win. Ward hit BEAs only 3-pointer.
Central visits BEA (2-0) on Friday.
