Recap: Cal State Fullerton vs. Idaho State

Kwame Vaughn paced four teammates in double figures with 17 points as the Cal State Fullerton Titans held off the Idaho State Bengals, 66-53, in a non-conference tilt at Titan Gym.

Vaughn shot 6-of-11 from the floor and added six rebounds and four assists for Fullerton (4-5), which snapped a three-game losing streak. Sammy Yeager scored 14 points, and D.J. Seeley and Alex Harris netted 11 points apiece for the home team.

Tomas Sanchez tallied 17 points, five boards, three assists, and three steals for Idaho State (1-7), while Andre Hatchett and Melvin Morgan scored 11 and 10, respectively.

Neither team shot greater than 35 percent from the floor in the first half, but Fullerton was able to take a 27-20 lead at the break by forcing six turnovers in the first 20 minutes while committing just one itself.

The Titans held on to the advantage throughout the second half, leading by as many as 23 points.

Fullerton was able to overcome a poor night from beyond the three-point arc (6-of-22) by making 14-of-15 from the foul line.
