Recap: Seattle vs. Washington

Led by a career-high 24 points from Scott Suggs, the Washington Huskies defeated the Seattle Redhawks, 87-74, in a crosstown rivalry game at KeyArena.

All five starters scored in double-figures for Washington (5-4), which has won three of its last four contests. Aziz N'Diaye (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Desmond Simmons (13 points, 12 rebounds) each tallied double-doubles, while Abdul Gaddy added 11 points and five assists. C.J. Wilcox rounded out the visitors' balanced attack with 12 points.

For Seattle (3-4), Chad Rasmussen made 5-of-8 from three-point range en route to 19 points. Clarence Trent added 12 points for the Redhawks.

Washington got out to a commanding 49-27 lead at halftime behind a lofty 64.3 percent field goal shooting effort in the first half.

Seattle cut into the deficit after intermission by outscoring the Huskies 47-38 in the final 20 minutes, but it never got to within single-digits of the lead.

Washington had an effective night at the foul line, draining 21-of-27 from the stripe. The Redhawks were not nearly as efficient at the line, making just 14- of-27 attempts.
