Penn State police investigating reported sex assault at campus residence

— Penn State police are investigating a sexual assault reported to have been early Wednesday morning in a campus residence hall.

The victim and attacker are both students, and the attacker is known to the victim, police said.

Anyone with information about the reported assault is asked to call Penn State police at 863-1111 or Centre County Crime Stoppers at 1-877-99-CRIME.

Callers may remain anonymous or may visit the Penn State University Police Silent Witness website at www.police.psu.edu/witness. Those providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 from Centre County Crime Stoppers.
