High school basketball: Bald Eagle Area boys beat Mount Union to stay undefeated

Published: December 20, 2012

— Bald Eagle Area used a big third quarter to pull away from Mount Union for a 55-47 non-league win Wednesday.

Dennis Fisher’s 18 points and seven rebounds paced the Eagles (5-0) while Bryce Greene added 10 points and four assists and Ryan Dyke had nine points and four steals.

BJ Loner’s nine points paced the Trojans (4-2).

BEA trailed by a point at halftime, but turned up the tempo to build a 45-33 lead by the start of the fourth quarter.

“Wer started making some of our shots and got the transition game going better,” Eagles coach Bill Butterworth said. “We couldn’t make a shot in the second quarter. We just didn’t get on track. But after halftime we got some man-to-man pressure defense and we started pulling away.”
