High school girls’ basketball: Centre County Christian Academy gets first win

— Centre County Christian Academy ended its winless skid at four games, beating Blair County Christian 37-16 on Thursday night.

The Lady Bulldogs got off to a big start, taking a 12-5 lead after one quarter and a 20-9 lead at halftime.

CCCA was aided by Becky Maholic who led all scorers with 17 points. Maholic also added seven assists. Kara Campbell netted eight points and added 11 rebounds for CCCA which will play at Sunbury Christian Academy on Jan. 4.
