Published: December 22, 2012

— The Little Lions thumped Mifflin County 71-47 on Friday night.

Bryan Sekunda tallied 24 points for State College, as Jason Costa chipped in 20 more. Michael Beattie kept the offense coming with 13 points of his own. Sekunda hit 18 of his points from three-point range while the Little Lions drilled 14 3-pointers.

“This is probably the best 3-point shooting since I’ve been here,” State College coach Drew Frank said.

The Little Lions romped to a 40-26 lead at halftime, effectively putting the game away. The State College defense held the Huskies to just 21 second-half points.
