Penn State track and field: Gondak promoted to associated head coach

Published: December 23, 2012

— John Gondak was promoted to associate head coach for Penn State, head coach Beth Alford-Sullivan announced.

Gondak is in his seventh year working with Penn State middle-distance athletes.

Gondak has mentored some of the Nittany Lions’ most successful track athletes, including former multiple-time Big Ten champion and All-American Ryan Foster, as well as current standouts senior Casimir Loxsom and sophomore Robby Creese.

“It’s an exciting time for John to have received this promotion,” Sullivan said in a release. “In the previous six years, he has done a tremendous job in recruiting and really helping shape the direction of our program.

"It is certainly well deserved and it’s been a great honor to work with him over the years. I look forward to continuing to work with John in the future.”
