UNIVERSITY PARK — John Gondak was promoted to associate head coach for Penn State, head coach Beth Alford-Sullivan announced.
Gondak is in his seventh year working with Penn State middle-distance athletes.
Gondak has mentored some of the Nittany Lions most successful track athletes, including former multiple-time Big Ten champion and All-American Ryan Foster, as well as current standouts senior Casimir Loxsom and sophomore Robby Creese.
Its an exciting time for John to have received this promotion, Sullivan said in a release. In the previous six years, he has done a tremendous job in recruiting and really helping shape the direction of our program.
"It is certainly well deserved and its been a great honor to work with him over the years. I look forward to continuing to work with John in the future.
