SPRING MILLS — Penns Valley held Bellefonte to two points in the first quarter and only five in the second on its way to a 39-26 victory in the opening round of its own tournament Friday.
The defense allowed the Rams to open a 29-11 lead after three quarters. Luke Weaver and John Ott both scored 12 points for Penns Valley (6-1). Logan Johnson added seven in the victory.
Tanner Light and Andy Stover both scored seven points to lead Bellefonte.
I like how we played, Penns Valley coach Terry Glunt said. We got after things defensively and hit the boards pretty well.
The Rams meet Central Mountain in tonights title game at 8:30 p.m.
