SPRING MILLS — Penns Valley defeated Bellefonte 39-31 in the opening round of its own tournament Friday night.

Kelsey Boone paced the Lady Rams with 14 points and six rebounds. Ashley Struble added 10 points and six rebounds.

“We played well defensively as a team and limited turnovers,” Penns Valley coach Andrea Borland said.

Ally Steen led Bellefonte with nine points. Torrie Sealy added eight for the Lady Red Raiders.
