ALTOONA — Matt Dry scored seven of his game-high 20 points in overtime to lead Altoona to a 71-63 victory against State College on Wednesday.
The contest was tied at 59-59 after regulation as Altoona outscored the Little Lions 14-5 in the fourth quarter. The Mountain Lions (7-4) dominated the extra period, especially at the foul line by making 8 of 10 free throws, including 5-of-6 from Dry. For the game, Altoona was 24-for-31 from the line, while State College was 2-for-3.
Bryan Sekunda led the Little Lions (9-3) with 19 points. Kyle Kanaskie, the only Little Lion to score in overtime, had 18 points.
Jason Costa added 17. The Little Lions blew a 29-13 lead after one quarter. State College scored just 24 points after the halftime break.
Altoona’s DeShae Lee and Kevin Givens added 15 and 14 points, respectively.
