UNIVERSITY PARK — The State College girls indoor track and field team swept the 60- and 200-meter dashes in Thursdays State College Invitational at Penn State.
Lauren Bonness led State College in both events, winning the 60 in 7.9 and 200 in 26.3. State College also swept the 800, with Emma Cousins winning the event in 2:25.3. Cousins added a victory in the mile.
State Colleges Kate Nese (pole vault) and Penns Valleys Chelsea Emel (shot put) won the field events.
State Colleges Will Cather was a double-winner in the boys meet, capturing the 800 in 1:59.7 and mile in 4:29.0. Ebrahim Britton (200) and Matt Mullin (shot put) also won events for State College.
St. Josephs Academys Stephen Forstmeier won the 3000 in 10:07.9.
