Penn State men’s swimming: Lions top Missouri State

— Penn State topped Missouri State Saturday afternoon, swimming to the top times in 13 events to win with a score of 171-124.

The Nittany Lions (3-2, 0-1 Big Ten) claimed victory in 11 of 16 events, with sophomore Nick Ankosko, junior Sean Grier and junior John Hauser winning two events apiece.

In diving, sophomore T.J. Schenkel posted yet another NCAA qualifying score on the three-meter board, recording 321.10 for second place. Junior Lucas Kachurick followed in third place with a score of 258.40. The duo switched places on the one-meter board, with Kachurick claiming second place with a personal best score of 269.55 and Schenkel coming in at third with 265.35.

Rounding out the Lions’ top performances of the day, Wilson took second in the 100 breast with a time of 57.30, while sophomore Ryan Magee claimed third in the 200 back with 1:51.95.

Kyle Madley posted two third-place finishes, as well, recording a time of 1:53.62 in the 200 fly and a time of 52.08 seconds in the 100 fly.
