UNIVERSITY PARK --- Penn State’s Alex Bentley nailed a halfcourt shot to close out the first half as the No. 8 Lady Lions rallied from an early deficit to bury Nebraska 80-58 at the Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday.
Bentley’s shot capped a 25-11 run over the final 7 1/2 minutes of the first half and gave the Lady Lions a 40-27 halftime lead. Penn State (13-2 overall, 3-0 Big Ten) opened the second half with a 15-4 run to put the game out of reach.
Bentley and Maggie Lucas led Penn State with 19 points, while Ariel Edwards added 15. Emily Cady had 17 to lead the Cornhuskers (12-5, 2-2).
