UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State’s Felix Aronovich earned his sixth career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honor and Trevor Howard was named the conference’s Freshman of the Week on Monday.

The honors come after a victory over Army in the team’s season opener on Saturday night.

Aronovich tied for the top score in the high bar and was second in the floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings and parallel bars. Howard was first in the rings and vault and added a third-place finish in the parallel bars.

The Nittany Lions will compete in the Navy Open on Saturday.
