UNIVERSITY PARK — The Penn State ice hockey team dominated play for the second half of the game, outshooting Division III Neumann 21-1 in the third period, but the Nittany Lions could not put the puck in the net in a 3-2 overtime loss Tuesday night at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion.
Jon Low scored the winner with 53 seconds left in overtime for the Knights. Chris Bournazos and D’Lane Sather netted their other goals, and Ben Curley made 44 saves.
Casey Bailey and David Glen each scored their team-leading 10th goals of the season for the Nittany Lions (8-12) and P.J. Musico made 14 saves.
Penn State outshot their opponents from Philadelphia 46-17.
The Nittany Lions meet Vermont at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
