Recap: Colorado State vs. Air Force

Wes Eikmeier led four players in double figures for Colorado State with 17 points as the Rams routed the Air Force Falcons, 79-40, in Mountain West Conference action at Moby Arena.

Colton Iverson added 15 points. Pierce Hornung had 12 points and nine rebounds and Jon Octeus chipped in 10 points off the bench for Colorado State (14-3, 1-1 MWC) which has won eight of its last nine.

Todd Fletcher and Michael Lyons each had a team-high eight points for Air Force (9-6, 1-2) which has lost four of its last five.

Colorado State ran out to a 34-19 lead at the half by shooting 54.2 percent from the field while holding the Falcons to just eight first half field goals.

In the second half the Rams continued to shoot well, connecting on 48.4 percent of their field goal attempts while Air Force managed to hit on just 34.6 percent.

Colorado State forced 19 turnovers in the game which the Rams traded in for 30 points. Colorado State also had a 40-19 edge in rebounds.
