From CDT staff reportsJanuary 19, 2013

CARLISLE — State College held Carlisle to four field goals as it improved to 11-5 with a 61-17 victory Friday.

State College led 31-12 at halftime before limiting Carlisle to just one point in the third quarter.

Kyla Irwin led the Lady Little Lions with 20 points. Jenna Altomare added 13 and Bridget King scored 11.

“We started out a little sluggish,” State College coach Bethany Irwin said. “We challenged the girls, and got the ball rolling. We started playing some really good defense. The girls started seeing the open kid. We took some nice shots and played really well.”
