— Three straight victories from 120 to 132 pounds wasn’t enough for the State College wrestling team to overcome DuBois’ powerful heavyweights on Monday.

The Beavers won every bout from 152 to 285 in a 52-21 victory over the Little Lions at the North Gym. DuBois (10-2), which won this past weekend’s Red Raider Rumble, scored 36 points in the seven heaviest weights.

State College collected bonus points in its four victories. Dan Sills (120) and Jake Haun (126) had pins, Mike Kauffman (132) added a technical fall and Derek Horner majored Douglas Carney 8-0 at 145.

DuBois won both bouts decided by decision as Zane Drum edged Jarred Price 4-3 at 152 and Robert Zilhaver defeated J.T. Mobley 2-0 at 285.

Shea Bloom (106), Mike Kennelly (160), Tom Sleigh (170), Shane Marshall (182), Landon Hanna (195) and Nick Davido (220) had pins for the Beavers.

The meet was the first of three home events for State College (5-16) this week. Central Dauphin East visits the North Gym on Thursday, and the Little Lions host Central Mountain on Saturday.
