Published: January 22, 2013

— Brookville more than doubled its lead in the third quarter to pull away from Philipsburg-Osceola 53-39 on Monday night.

“We had a lot of turnovers and the shots just didn’t fall for us,” said P-O coach Doug Myers, whose team fell from six points down at halftime to trailing 39-26 by the start of the fourth quarter.

The Lady Raiders saw a trio score in double figures to lock up the win, with 14 points for Aisha Newsome and 11 each for Lanae Newsome and Karly Reinsel.

Brianna Rusnak’s 10 points and nine each for Abby Showers and Cassidy Bauman led the Lady Mounties (6-8).
