Published: January 22, 2013

A 40-year-old Port Matilda man was convicted Friday of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman in September 2010 after driving her to Fisherman’s Paradise.

Donald Shouey was found guilty by a Centre County jury of felony sexual assault and aggravated assault and a misdemeanor count of indecent assault. The jury, however, acquitted him of rape.

Shouey could face up to 10 years in prison, Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller said in a release.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 12.
