SPRING MILLS — Penns Valley relied on excellent free throw shooting in the fourth quarter to lock up its 53-40 boys’ basketball victory over Philipsburg-Osceola on Wednesday.

The Rams broke open a tight game in the final quarter by nailing 14 of 17 attempts from the foul line to hold on as the Mounties rallied.

Luke Weaver and Will Jackson led Penns Valley with 17 and 15 points, respectively. Cameron Tobias added eight points and made all four of his free throw attempts.

Chris Glolemboski led the Mounties with 10 points, while Matt Carpin chipped in seven.

Penns Valley will travel to Bellefonte on Friday, while Philipsburg-Osceola will host Tyrone on Friday.
