BELLEFONTE — A solid defensive effort couldn’t overcome a turnover problem as Bellefonte remained winless with a 36-19 loss against Tyrone on Wednesday.

The Lady Red Raiders bottled up the Lady Golden Eagles (9-5), who defeated them 60-29 early this season, but struggled to score. Tyrone led 22-6 at the half.

“We were pretty scrappy,” Bellefonte coach Roger Herto said. “We played a nice defensive game against a team that has been scoring a lot of points. Offensively we had a lod of turnovers.”

Tyrone’s Nicole Gripp had 11 points and was the only scorer in double figures. Jessica Book scored six points

for the Lady Raiders (0-13).
