High school hockey: State College ices Hempfield for second time this week

— Led by the prolific performances of Stefan Horgas and Dalton Bown, the State College ice hockey team rolled up an 11-3 win over Hempfield to light up the Greenberg Ice Pavilion scoreoard on Thursday.

Horgas scored four goals and assisted on four others, while Bown had three goals and five assists. Sey Yeaple also got in the act with a goal and four assists.

Josef Horgos, Brendan Horgas and Luc Michael netted the other goals for State College (9-6). Andres Marsala had two assists while Craig Saupe, Jared Karas, Andrew Ebert and Andrew Moscone had one each.

Andrew Koziara had two goals and an assist and Chaning Gorscak had a goal and two assists for the Spartans (1-12-1).

State College has beaten Hempfield by a combined 18-5 this week, winning 7-2 on Tuesday.
