STATE COLLEGE — Three forfeits proved too difficult to overcome as State College ended the Mid-Penn portion of its schedule with a 44-29 home loss to Central Dauphin East on Thursday.
The Little Lions won six of the 11 bouts contested. Dan Sills (120), J.B. Holden (138) and Jake Vandervort (182) had pins for State College. Kyle Catral (106) added a technical fall.
Mike Kauffman and Derek Horner earned decision victories. Kauffman handled Cody Cavrich 6-2 at 132 and Horner defeated Leonardo Hidalgo 10-5 at 145.
State College (5-17) wrestles Central Mountain on Saturday at the North Gym.
