Monday’s scholastic sports slate wiped out by bad weather

For the second time in four days, the local high school athletic schedule was wiped out by the weather.

Four basketball games were postponed by Monday’s snow, ice and rain. The Bald Eagle Area boys’ game at Punxsutawney and the Philipsburg-Osceola boys’ game at Brookville were moved to Feb. 13 and 14, respectively. The Penns Valley girls’ game against P-O will be played Thursday.

The Bellefonte boys’ basketball game hosting St. Marys, and the State College ice hockey game at Butler, also were wiped out, but no makeup dates were announced.

Monday’s slate of junior high basketball games also was washed out.
