UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State’s Peter Russell and Connor Curry were named Eastern Intercollegaite Volleyball Association offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, on Monday.

The pair helped the No. 6 Nittany Lions to wins over Loyola-Chicago, Sacred Heart and Harvard last week. Russell picked up his first weekly award while Curry was honored for the second time.

Russell hit .358 with 26 kills, four aces, eight blocks and 13 digs for the week. Curry had 29 digs for the week, including a career-high 21 against the Crimson on Saturday.

Penn State hosts Pfeiffer on Friday and Mount Olive on Saturday at Rec Hall.
