Penn State women's hockey: Princeton blanks Nittany Lions

The Penn State women’s ice hockey team was put on ice 3-0 by Princeton on Tuesday night at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion.

The Tigers (7-12-2) found the net once in each period and outshot the Nittany Lions 30-19.

Karen MacDonald, Sally Butler and Molly Contini netted the Princeton goals.

Nicole Paniccia made 27 saves for the Nittany Lions (7-17-1). Kimberly Newell made 19 saves for the shutout.

Penn State hosts No. 7 Mercyhurst on Friday and Saturday.
