Penn State men's swimming: Sean Grier honored by Big Ten

Penn State's Sean Grier was named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday, the first Nittany Lion to pick up the honor since he earned it Feb. 7, 2012.

The junior helped Penn State (4-2) beat Navy 188-112, taking part in two Nittany Lion records. He broke a 10-year-old McCoy Natatorium record with a time of 47.98 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly, then was a part of the 200 medley relay team that set a team record of 1:29.20. He added a win in the 100 backstroke in 48.32.

The All-American is undefeated in the 100 fly and 100 backstroke this season.

Penn State hosts Towson on Friday.
