Girls basketball: State College falls to Harrisburg

Published: January 30, 2013

— State College rallied from 11 points down to take a fourth-quarter lead, but the Lady Little Lions could not hold on in a 50-43 loss to Harrisburg on Tuesday.

“We surged, but it came too soon,” State College coach Bethany Irwin said. “We didn’t execute. We didn’t run the plays correctly.”

Kyla Irwin’s 16 points led State College (12-6, 8-4 Mid-Penn Confernce) and Jenna Altomare added 10 points.

Brittney Jackson’s 12 points led Harrisburg (10-9, 5-7).
