BELLEFONTE — A big fourth quarter helped the Phlipsburg-Osceola boys basketball team earn a 44-40 road victory over Bellefonte on Wednesday.
The Mounties outscored the Red Raiders 15-10 in the quarter to improve to 5-10. The game was close for all quarters, with Bellefonte leading 11-9 after the first, 24-22 at halftime and 30-29 entering the fourth.
Matt Carpin made eight field goals to lead the Mounties with a game-high 20 points. Eric Nartatez added 15 points.
Bellefonte sank seven 3-pointers. Tanner Light nailed a game-high four and scored 16 points. Andy Stover made three and scored nine points.
P-O visits Bald Eagle Area and Bellefonte visits Clearfield on Friday.
