Appalachian State names co-offensive coordinators

Published: January 31, 2013

Appalachian State first-year football coach Scott Satterfield named Dwayne Ledford and Frank Ponce as co-offensive coordinators on Thursday.

Ledford is in his second year as Appalachian State's offensive line coach and will coordinate the Mountaineers' running game. Ponce spent the last six seasons at Florida International, and will coordinate the passing game and coach the quarterbacks.

Ponce worked alongside Satterfield at FIU during the 2010 and '11 seasons.

Satterfield replaced longtime Appalachian State coach Jerry Moore after last season, when the Mountaineers finished with an 8-4 record and No. 9 ranking in The Sports Network/FCS Top 25.
