MECHANICSBURG — State College senior Bryan Sekunda scored his 1,000th career point in the Little Lions 63-60 Mid-Penn Commonwealth loss at Cumberland Valley on Friday.
Sekunda scored a game-high 21 points to eclipse 1,000 for his career. Sekunda entered Friday needing 19 points to reach the milestone. He hit eight field goals and went 6-for-6 from the foul line.
Cumberland Valley used a 21-point fourth quarter to prevail. The game was tied 42-42 entering the fourth quarter.
Kyle Kanaskie scored 18 points and Jason Costa hit four 3-pointers to add 17 for the Little Lions (13-7).
Tanner Kirkpatrick led Cumberland Valley with 20 points. Matt Tamanosky added 13 points for the Eagles (13-6).
