A Port Matilda man faces drug charges after he was arrested Friday afternoon.

Brett J. Buchanan, 21, was taken to the Centre County prison after “suspicious” items were seen at a Taylor Township residence, police said.

Police said a search turned up the following:

159.5 prescription pills; five glass vials with an unknown clear liquid; one zip-close bag with suspected heroin; a glass vial with an unknown brown liquid; a glass marijuana pipe; a digital scale; eight metal spoons with white power residue; 170 empty heroin baggies; a metal cylinder; and 120 syringes.
