Boys basketball: Bishop Guilfoyle sinks Philipsburg-Osceola

— Bishop Guilfoyle prevailed over Philipsburg-Osceola in a foul-filled non-league game 69-48 Monday night.

The teams combined for 57 free throws, with a 16-for-30 performance for the Marauders (12-3) and a 14-for-27 showing for the Mounties (5-12).

“It was a tough, physical game,” P-O coach Dave McKnight said. “But we didn’t back down from them.”

Matt Carpin’s 13 points paced the Mounties, while Tyler Koehle’s 15 and Brandon Drenning’s 13 led Bishop Guilfoyle.
