TYRONE — Despite a big final push, a sluggish start that extended into the third quarter doomed Philipsburg-Osceola in a 57-44 loss to Tyrone on Monday.

The Lady Eagles raced to a 35-17 halftime lead and the Lady Mounties (8-10) couldn’t catch up despite a 21-point fourth quarter.

Briana Rusnak led all scorers with 21 points for P-O while Abby Showers netted 11 .

Nicole Gripp contributed 17 points for Tyrone while Alex Brooks nailed 13 points.
