BELLEFONTE — Bellefonte came close to netting its second win of the season, but the Lady Raiders fell 44-32 to Central Mountain on Monday.

Freshman Jess Book scored a team-high 11 points for the Lady Raiders (1-16), while Krista Heckman led all scorers with 22 for Central Mountain.

Bellefonte trailed just 19-15 at the half, but could not get over the hump in the second half.

“The game was sitting there for us to take but offensively we didn’t play nearly well enough to take it,” said Bellefonte coach Roger Herto. “We had a lot of opportunities, but tonight we just did not run our offense well and that’s really what happened tonight.”
