Boys basketball: Williamsport edges State College

— Williamsport pulled away from State College in the final minutes to hand the Little Lion basketball team another tough loss, 68-64 Tuesday night in the North Gym.

State College (13-7) held a two-point lead to open the fourth quarter but could not shut down the Millionaires (16-2), who are ranked seventh in the state in Class AAAA, accoring to the Harrisburg Patriot-News weekly state poll.

The Little Lions have lost four of their last five games, with all four losses by four points or fewer.

Jahad Thomas’ 18 points paced Williamsport while Achilles Watson added 14 and 13 came from Isaiah Washington, who has given an oral commitment to Penn State.

Jason Costa scored a game-high 19 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead State College. Kyle Kanaskie added 14, Bryan Sekunda netted 11 and Michael Beattie dropped in 10.
