PHILIPSBURG — Philipsburg-Osceola continued its recent surge by scoring 22 fourth-quarter points in a 55-48 victory over Huntingdon on Tuesday.
Abby Showers hit two 3-pointers and led the Lady Mounties with 22 points. Briana Rusnak and Haylee Hayward scored 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Brianna Rivello led Huntingdon with 18 points.
P-O improved to 9-10. The Lady Mounties started the season 1-6, but have won eight of 11 games since Jan. 1.
The girls played really hard and really good at the end of the game, P-O coach Doug Myers said. Were excited about the record. We have a chance to end the season strong. We are thankful to be in this positions.
