Penn State women’s ice hockey: Nittany Lions fall 3-1 to Lindenwood

— Penn State held the lead after the first period but could not stay in front as the team’s losing skid hit eight games Friday afternoon with a 3-1 loss to Lindenwood at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion.

Emily Laurenzi netted the Nittany Lions’ lone goal, with help from Birdie Shaw.

Alyssa West, Chelsea Witwicke and Caitlyn Post scored for Lindenwood (4-23-2, 4-9-2 CHA), which outshot Penn State 45-36.

Nicole Paniccia made 42 saves in the net for the Nittany Lions (7-20-1, 1-13-1).

The teams meet again at 2 p.m. Saturday.
