State College police fielded two separate reports of assault early Sunday morning.
A 23-year-old Penn State student was assaulted by multiple men on the 100 block of Locust Lane shortly after midnight, police said. The man sustained a bloody elbow and a bruised face and refused medical treatment.
The other incident took place on the 200 block of East Prospect Avenue. Two men got into a physical altercation leaving one hospitalized with a cut to his brow. He was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center by friends and hospital employees reported the incident at 2:06 a.m. Police could not specify a specific time that the assault occurred.
Both assaults are still under investigation, police said.
