MARTINSBURG Abby Showers netted 18 points and Briana Rusnak notched 15, but it wasn’t enough as Central edged Philipsburg-Osceola 63-57 on Monday.

P-O (9-11) was doomed by a lackluster second quarter that saw Central (8-7) outscore the Lady Mounties 20-6.

The Lady Mounties rebounded in the third, but couldn’t use a 21-13 run to their advantage as the Scarlet Dragons held on in the fourth quarter to post the win.

Central was led by Brayley Lewis’ 16 points.
