— Patrick Chambers has pledged to donate $10 to the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (Thon) for every Penn State student who attends the Nittany Lions Valentine’s Day game against Iowa, Thursday at 9 p.m.

According to a team press release on Monday, students will need to show a valid Penn State student ID to pick up a pledge card on the Jordan Center concourse near Portal 31 between 8:00-9:15 p.m. on Thursday night. Pledge cards will be collected with five minutes remaining in the second half or can be turned in after the game at a collection bin at the Gate A exit of the Jordan Center.

The Nittany Lions will be looking to snap an 11-game losing streak (8-15, 0-11 Big Ten) since conference play began.

Thon 2013 will be held in the Bryce Jordan Center from Friday to Sunday with over 700 dancers and thousands of student volunteers taking part in the 46-hour event.

Last year, Thon raised more than $10.6 million and more than $89 million since it began in 1977 to support the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.

Chambers also shaved his head last week as part of a “No hair, don’t care,” benefit with proceeds going to Thon.
