BOSWELL — Bald Eagle Area built a big early lead and coasted into the postseason with a 45-33 win over North Star on Friday night to close the regular-season schedule.
Lexi Josefik scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Lady Eagles (21-1), who tied the 2010-11 team for the best regular-season record in program history. BEA is the top seed for the District 6 Class AA tournament, which begins next week, and will face either Bishop McCort or Marion Center in the quarterfinals.
Mary Pillot added nine points and nine rebounds, Marissa Miller added eight points, five assists and four steals and Kaitlyn Miller blocked four shots.
